Description: Here's an infrequently seen pen from the mid '20's, marked at the base of the barrel, "SWAN PEN" MABIE TODD Co. N.Y. The second line is "STERLING SILVER, MADE IN U.S.A. This is a sterling lady's ring pen including the section and with a engine turned checkerboard in panels as a decorative pattern. This pattern is well worn as is the imprint at the base of the barrel. Additionally there are several dents on both the cap and barrel (none on the section) with some pretty significant ones on the barrel. The lever filler will need a sac, before it will take up ink. The nib, however, is in excellent shape, as is the feed, and is marked "MABIE, TODD, CO, N.Y." The nib appears to be in perfect condition, a fine point with significant flexibility.
