Description: This Specimen is from Ming bang Mine, Shile Dist, Xinyang Prefecture, Henan Prov, China Botryoidal Fluorites is not a common occurrence, the surface of the fluorite does not have any sign of crystal faces even under a x10 lens so these can be truly called botryoidal, the colour varies under different light forms and are translucent. This mineral specimen is a true rarity, and the colour is best seen when back lit,. A few of these trickled out of China when they were first found about in 2006, this material is sparse, and it has been difficult to obtain specimens. Made harder by the rapid expansion of the Chinese own mineral internal market. This is one of a small batch that were sourced at the Munich Show (2017). The colour is a pretty deep lilac- purple and it glows when backlit. This specimen, is 3-dimensional, with bumps, promontories and crevices adding to its fine aesthetics. There are some minor flaws but in the main are the result of the extraction process, this is more than made up for by its rarity.
