Description: Grafton, Sue - A is for Alibi - Holt, Rinehart & Winston: New York, 1982 - First Edition / Second Printing - Incomplete number line, starting with “2”, present on the copyright page as required in order to denote the second printing of the first edition. The book has the top of the spine pushed but is otherwise extremely well kept. The boards are otherwise straight and clean. The binding is square and firm and it is very doubtful this copy has ever been read. The price clipped dust jacket has only the most minor hint of shelf wear but is easily near fine or better. All together a superb example of a book which is notoriously fickle due to the poor quality materials they used to produce it. This was the first appearance of Grafton’s famous detective Kinsey Millhone and was the first installment in the "Alphabet mystery" series. Sadly, the series would end only one letter short with Grafton’s death in 2017. All books are offered with a full 30 day postage paid return policy. All books which are in dust jackets will be mailed with a clear archival dust jacket protector fitted. Shipping costs can be combined if multiple purchases are made. Items will be packaged and shipped within one business day unless otherwise noted. Please always feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
