Gorgeous center oval element - figural detail on right and left side!! Acanthus style leaf pattern under top shelf & egg & dart trim around firebox. There are two brass hardware pieces - one on each side - look as if they held fire place tools. I believe these were added later to the mantle - but have good age to them - c1890 vintage Review pictures to see the exquisite detail throughout The molded lines add another level of detail. This is easily a museum quality piece Measures 85” wide on top x 53” high and is 10” deep on top shelf Firebox is 60” x 39.5” Please ask any questions - this is a real amazing piece of!!!Great decorating pieces - or even re-use in a restoration project.
