I did some digging around to find out what the difference is between the original V-raptor and the VRII. It was surprising to find most said they were very close in quality and response.With that said, the new VRII's are in the $4500 range and are still being made. This trumpet is rare and has not been produced in almost 2 decades.You probably won't believe this, but I wanted an even bigger bore horn so I got a .468 CG BENGE and I like all the air that it takes. This V-raptor is a BIG bore too at .468, but it is a multi-bore meaning that there are squeezes and chokes where the bore size is actually smaller than .468.This is gig and studio ready right out of the gate, but have a good set of chops and lungs on you should you decide to get this one.
