Normally we find all of our cats in feral colonies but Cupcake was a special case. She had been abandoned with a safety collar on. Unfortunately it did not break. She got her leg caught in and it cut all the way to her bone! She spent day after day like this until she was finally found. Sadly it was not by a nice person. The couple refused to spend any money to help her but would not take her to a shelter to be put of her agony. Instead they intended to feed her in the back yard and "see how long she lives". It would not have been long. Despite our constant battle to just raise enough money to trap, neuter and return ferals we could not see this poor girl die that way. We had her leg repaired but it will be a long road to recovery after and extensive and very expensive operation. Despite her pain she is just the sweetest cat alive. She purrs, rubs and makes happy feet non stop. All she wants is to be loved. Once we have her healthy again Cupcake we will find this little girl a wonderful home with someone who deserves her unconditional love.
