Description: PTFE seals & O-ring seals for Breville Dual Boiler steam ball valves - BES900/920/980 (Oracle - older version). We strongly encourage you to read the full description! Kit includes:2 x PTFE ball valve seals3 x 70 Duro silicone O-rings for the hydraulic connections to the valve1 x HNBR O-ring for the steam valve actuator When the steam wand on your Breville Dual Boiler machine starts to leak at the tip, the culprit is usually the Teflon seals in the steam ball valve. There are 2 seals in the assembly - one that sits above the ball and one beneath. These wear over time and eventually allow steam to slip past when the valve is in the 'off' position. If you have a leak around the steam lever, then the lever actuator seal (green one) is the usual culprit. If the valve is still in good condition and isn't corroded, replacing this seal should do the trick and last you a good, long while. This is a much more cost-effective option than buying a whole new valve assembly. Please be careful when fitting the green HNBR seal around the valve actuator (the part that the handle connects to). Use food-grade silicone grease and slide it on gently from the smaller side a bit at a time until it drops into place. If you notice scale or build-up inside your steam valve when you open it up, clean it off as best you can with a soft wire brush. If the ball in the valve looks corroded, deformed or damaged, particularly if the slot on the ball is damaged, it's best to get a new valve. Similarly, if the actuator looks corroded, damaged or deformed, it's best to get a new valve. The steam lever will feel a little rough when you first install these. Don't worry, this is normal. You'll need to let your machine heat up to operating temperature after installing them and raise and lower the steam lever a few times until the seals soften up enough to mold around the ball inside of the valve assembly. You'll notice that it will soften each time you raise and lower the lever. This is how a proper seal in the valve assembly is formed. After doing this, the lever will feel smooth and easy to use. Feel free to shoot me a message on here or other platforms if you have any questions. The valve itself is only in the photo for visual reference. I make it a habit to send your orders through the post office directly, rather than dropping it into a Post Box where they can sometimes get stuck in the mail bag. Please understand however that if you choose the free shipping option, there is no tracking number. If you opt for free postage and your order doesn't arrive, I can't be held liable. It's rare, but it can happen. I take photos of all orders before I ship them out and am happy to send you yours as proof. To avoid this, I recommend using either the standard trackable mail option or even the Express post option if you need your order in a hurry. They might not be free, but they're trackable. TO OUR FRIENDS FROM ABROAD - WELCOME!! Please understand that the economy option has NO tracking number and can take 3+ weeks to arrive. If you're not in a hurry and are willing to take the risk, then you're very welcome to it and we appreciate your support. However, we always recommend the trackable International Standard option, though unfortunately it is expensive. Please use the drop down menu in the postage section and select your country to get postage rates. Thanks for your support and understanding,Maz @ Cockabrew
