The scene shown on the panel captures a moment in time from the celebration that took place in 1886. There are two commemorative stamps on each side of the panel. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France as a show of friendship. It was designed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The 3 cent Statue of Liberty Stamp U.S. #1035 of the Liberty Series and pictures the Statue of Liberty with the words, “In God We Trust.” It was issued on June 17, 1959, Albany, NY. The USA 22 cent Flag Over the Capital Stamp Scott # 2115 pictures the flag of the United States flying over the White House in Washington, D.C. To the top right of the stamp is the Postal issue date honoring the 100th Anniversary encircled with “New York, NY, Oct 28, 1986, 10001”. The stamp was issued in 1985. The panel is made of medium-weight archival-quality paper and measures 9” H x 10” W. Has normal wear and aging. Also, the 1corner is slightly worn with picture close-ups of both. In a frame, it will not be noticeable.
