It was done circa 1985-1986 for the production of the classic animated series which featured the popular characters from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. It is a great production cel with an outstanding image, that has been hand-painted, and there is animator production numbering that likely indicates the scene this would have been prepared for. The full piece measures approximately 12 1/2" by 10 1/2", and is a standard hand-painted 3-peghole cell. It also includes the matching original drawing, which has been affixed directly behind the cell (you can see some of the drawn outline around the edges). It is stuck directly on, so we are not sure if it is removable. This is an outstanding rare vintage Star Wars piece, and a magnificent example to own featuring one of the most beloved and famous characters in the history of comic books, animation, and movies. While many people may have toys of the characters, how many actually have an original hand-drawn and hand-painted piece from the creation of the well-remembered TV series from this legendary franchise?
