Description: Stanley number 78 rabbeting plane, probably pre-WWII vintage. Doesn't have the fence or depth stop, but does have the spur "nicker" and a good, sharp 1-1/2" iron. It has been one of my every-day planes in my shop (I use it as a shoulder plane), but I'm replacing it with a new shoulder plane, and so it's time for it to grace someone else's shop. These are not stock photos--the plane you see is the plane you get.
