Description: This is an interesting vintage piece of unique 1960's era ephemera with the subject of Stamp Collecting. It is a restaurant/diner style of paper placemat. This placemat is new and hasn't been used in a food service setting. It is new old stock, from a salesperson's sample book that would be shown to prospective buyers to purchase in their establishment. There were hundreds of placemats produced with all kinds of subject matter. They were used to amuse, entertain, and educate restaurant/diner patrons while they waited for their meals to be served. It measures about 10' x 14" and is in very good condition. Please note that there are two small staple holes in the upper left where it was attached to the sample book. These, however, do not distract from the graphics or subject matter. The right side has the heading "Stamp Collecting" with images of a magnifying glass and misc. stamps. The left side has 4 boxes of Stamp Collecting information with the headings of "Stamp Collecting", "Perforations"," Color", "Issues of Stamps: and "Did You Know" It could possibly be framed for display purposes or as a conversation piece for a stamp collector. Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage Mail with tracking in a protective cardboard mailer.
