Description: Nice antique purple transferware plate. Back says, "Millenium" and according to others on the internet it was made by Ralph Stevenson, 1832 - 1835 in the United Kingdom. The plate portrays a scene from the Bible, Isaiah, and you can see the "eye of God" and the bible opened to Isaiah. You see the "peaceable kingdom, the thousand years reign of Christ, the lion and the lamb. The words "Peace on Earth" and "Give us this day our daily Bread" are below the scene. There are also other symbols that make this a well thought out/illustrated plate/piece of history. This is an OLD plate, not new. It's in very good ANTIQUE condition. These plates weren't made with the highest quality control. Look at the photos closely, on a computer screen, not a cell phone. The transfer isn't perfectly centered and it has slight flaws in it. The plate was used for display however, so it doesn't have utensil scratching, just some light scratching probably from stacking. There's a little discoloration on the edge. The back has an area where it's discolored right at the edge (not very dark, see photos), and there is one chip shown in a photo. There are also stilt marks from manufacturing. The plate is a little over 9" across. I usually ship within one day of receiving payment. Please pay within 2 days of auction's close. 5881
