Description: Staffordshire dog girl 1860This figure was my mother's and before that her mother's. My mother died in 1995 at the age of 91. From my research, I estimate this figure of a dog with girl to be approximately from 1860, hand painted with a brush and has the tiny vent hole in the bottom with no maker mark. Since my mother was born in 1904 and she can remember this in her home as a young child, I think my guesstimate is correct. It is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. The measurements are 6 1/2" wide and 6 1/4" high.
