Description: The album has 114 pretty darn spectacular photos. I found another one sold at Swann Galleries that had 260 photos and sold at auction for $1,375. Obviously, that means this is not the complete album and is missing 146 photos. These ones mostly feature India and Java so it would seem that the Chinese section is missing when you look at the lot offered by Swann Galleries. Long story short - this is not the complete album. The complete album sells for $1,375 at auction w/buyers premium. I’m quite certain that $228 or $2 a photo is fair for such quality imagery as this. Mr. De Cou was obviously very skilled.
