Description: Spooner Creek pieces are the work of Wisconsin artist Michael Macone. Designs etched into the clay gives the pieces a 3-dimensional look and colored glazes are hand-applied and kiln-fired. The ivory background color of this plaque is highlighted with an etched black "frame" around a small colorful rectangle of etched landscape above the saying "Sisters make life half as hard & twice as good". This Spooner Creek plaque made in 2010 is about 6-1/4 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and less than 1/2 inch thick. A cord pulled through 2 holes near the top edge of the tile makes it easy to hang. The original paper label is still on the back. It is in very good condition - no chips, hairlines, crazing, or signs of wear - and the colors are still very vibrant. Ships USPS.
