Signed by Todd McFarlane and signed & inscribed by Al Simmons "AKA Spawn". Both signatures and inscription authenticated by CGC and JSA. Al Simmons was a friend and employee of Todd McFarlane. It's well-reported that the Spawn character was named after his friend. Todd was known for naming a number of characters after friends and family members. Al Simmons would often dress up as spawn and attend signing events with Todd and would always sign "Al Simmons AKA Spawn". The two had a falling out, and in 2012 Todd McFarlane sued Simmons for claiming that he was the inspiration/namesake of Spawn.
