Description: Original Span-Am War Era US Army Enlisted Model 1887 White Sun or Pith Helmet - Infantry - NICE Condition - RARE Up for sale is an Original Span-Am War Era US Army Enlisted M1887 White Sun or Pith Helmet. The M1887 helmet has the light cotton canvas outer covering, with a Army Eagle Plate with the Infantry symbol and Infantry side buttons. It has the spike assembly. There is a tear in the outer covering at one of the side buttons, see photos. Some soiling spots on the outer covering. No chin strap. A couple very minor dings in the outer covering. The green interior lining has evidence of moth damage, see photos. Still has the original leather sweat band, which is still intact. There are no visible markings or dates. It has a size 7 tag.
