Description: South Pacific Megalodon TeethThis tooth has been LAPIDARY POLISHED to a Beautiful high Luster !These Unique colored teeth come from the South Pacific Ocean 800 miles east of Australia and a 3 day boat ride North of a small island called New Caledonia. They are dredged from a 1000 feet down using a scoop 2 meters wide. The boat used for this operation is the TUI 2 that makes passes within a 3 mile stretch . The scoop is dragged for 30 min . Then it takes approximately 30 minutes to winch the scoop back up from 1000 feet onto the boat’s deck. They do approximately 5 passes in a day. They would catch approximately 15 -140 teeth at pass. The permit on this site was pulled by the French government in 2003. There will be NO more coming out. Our inventory is running low so if you want one you better get it now!
