Solid! Vintage 1960s Raleigh Sports 3 Speed Ladies 26" Cruiser Bicycle Tourist

Description: *Possible to ship Nice! Vintage bicycle Ladies or women's style bike, 26" rims. Perhaps a Raleigh bicycle of the mid 1960's. We contacted Raleigh Bicycles in England, of newer owners. They do not have past records to verify the "Conqueror" model. Stands apx 33" high at seat. It has never used since obtaining the bike, about 30 years ago. It has been kept in dry garage storage since then. The original metal, head badge emblem on the front is "Conqueror". The center of the handle bar is engraved "Brampton, "Made in India". The bottom, underside of the frame has a serial # of 3966365. The seat is white and dark blue. The current tires hold air, just now checked over the course of some weeks now. It has never been used since buying the bike from the owner in the 1980's. Sturmey Archer shifters and components. All components seem to be original. Most are made in England just like the bicycle. Conditon: Solid and intact. No fenders on this bike. The left handle bar is bent inward a little. See photos. Some minor surface rust spots to the chrome. Tubes look overall in good shape with some minor paint loss here and there. Areas had been touched up with paint, see photos. Needs brake pads. The white handle bar grip is marked "Made in England". The black grip on right side, has the 3 three speed, but does not move freely. That steel shifter is marked "Sturmey Archer, England". The rim is marked "Sturmey Archer, England. EA 23-0. 26 x 1 3/8". The brakes do work to grip the wheel/rim. "Luxe" is engraved on one side of the wing nut, of the front wheel. The other side of the wing nut is engraved "Marcel". There is no apparent marking on the hub....maybe a very close look would reveal a marking. The original color is blue, like a "sky blue" or "royal blue". There are some areas of a touched up with similar blue paint. No sign of any emblems or stickers on the frame of chain guard. On the frame, below the seat, there seems to be several rings of, 1 inch wide "faded stripes", spaced about an inch apart....perhaps adhesive of stripes removed (?). A great vintage bicycle.
