The lower 0.1% red LED moon light setting is enough to move about and handle binoculars or telescope with absolutely no loss of night vision. At 0.1%, it runs all night with no problems. Easy to adjust to higher powers of red light if needed (plenty to read a star atlas or adjust scope settings), also without significant interference with night vision. Easy to switch to white light if needed. I find the 0.1% moon, L/M/H red light modes preferable to the L/M/H, strobe, sos, red LED light settings of the H05B and seldom have any need for a strobe or turbo mode, red or white. This is the only one I've found that allows you to turn on just the red light without having to cycle through a different color or the normal white light first.
