Smart Fortwo 451 Brabus LED Daytime Running Light genuine Replacement ONE SIDE

Description: Smart Fortwo 451 Replacement Brabus LED Daytime Running light DRL ONE SIDE ONLY but will fit either left or right side. This listing is for a brand new string of x5 (one side) round LED’s that are the same make/spec/original equipment/identical, as supplied/fitted in the factory by Smart Brabus. You are purchasing a string of x5 LED lights only, as shown in image 1 and 2 (other images are for location reference). This is a direct swap out item to replace existing faulty DRL. No other parts, brackets or trim included or required. This style DRL’s were factory fitted on the Fortwo 451 Brabus from 2010-2014. They were also available as an optional extra from Smart/Mercedes, if added to lower spec Fortwo models at the dealership. The partial failure of the LED’s on one side is a common issue. The failure of mine, like most are the result of water ingress into the LED’s & corrosion (see before and after images). To replace them through Smart, they will only sell you the full set (both sides). When last checked they were charging around £500. Replacing the string of x5 LED’s yourself takes approx 30 mins and are easily changed. Requires popping out the grill/panel holding the LED’s. Unplugging red/yellow LED plug, unscrewing 10 Allen keys bolts and 4 torx screws. Remove old LED’s. Replace new LED’s along with the bolts as they were taken out. Plug in LED’s and replace panel back into bumper. This is an ideal cost effect replacement and will also improve the appearance & saleability of the car if looking to sell it. Why do many car sellers not show Smart Fortwo Brabus DRL’s switched on in their advertisement sale photos?? ….because they are likely not working correctly!! The LED’s are only part of the lighting system as each side has a driver module. LED failure is usually caused by corrosion, although there may be other causes like the driver. If you have one side of LED’s fully working, try swapping both sides around. This will ensure that the LED’s have failed & not the driver, so this replacement LED DRL is suitable. You are purchasing a string of x5 LED lights only, as shown in image 1, 2 and 4. Will also fit either side. No other parts are included in the sale. IF YOU REQUIRE BOTH SIDES, SEE MY OTHER LISTING.
