TAYLOR IN 1964 This antique booklet presents a history of the Sixteen South Carolina Regiment, C.S.A. from Greenville, South Carolina. It also has a listing of Confederate Companies from Greenville, a roster of Officers and Staff of the 16th South Carolina, biographical sketches of key leaders, and a detailed rosters of all the members of the unit organized by company. The 16th Regiment, South Carolina Infantry (also known as the Greenville Regiment and the Greenville Boys) recruited its men in Greenville County. It was organized and mustered into Confederate service in December, 1861. The regiment moved to Charleston and for a time was stationed at Adams Run under General Hagood. This book is in excellent condition. It is sharp, bright, clean, and tight with no wear. The interior is clean and the pages are in excellent condition. There isn’t a mark in the book, except that there is a very small, prior-owner name and date at the top, left corner of the title page as shown on one of the photos. It has no other writing, and no smudging, foxing, pasteboards or stamps. It is not an ex-library book. It contains portraits. And a comprehensive roster organized by company. 52 pages.
