Signed Original BURGHILD EICHHEIM-KELLER Limited Edition Serigraph "Nordland"

Description: “NORDLAND” SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION COLOR SERIGRAPH BY THE GERMAN PAINTER AND PRINTMAKER BURGHILD EICHHEIM-KELLER (b.1936) This abstract expressionist landscape serigraph, a limited edition of 100 impressions, was created and hand printed by the German artist Burghild Eichheim-Keller. Titled on the verso “NORDLAND”, the image depicts an abstracted view of Northern Norway’s rugged coastline with thousands of islands. The serigraph is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: B. Eichheim-Keller, and numbered in the margin below the image lower left: 61/100. Printed in four colors on paper, the image size measures 11 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches. The sheet with full margins measures 16 7/8 x 24 inches. The serigraph, which is hinge mounted on to an illustration board backing, comes unframed. The illustration board measures 19 3/4 x 24 1/2 inches. PLEASE NOTE CONDITION: There are several mild handling creases in the outer margins, otherwise the serigraph is in very fine condition, with no evidence of any damage to the image. Burghild Eichheim-Keller was born in 1936 in Bad Urach (Baden-Württemberg). In 1955 she began studying at the State Academy of Fine Art in Stuttgart moving to the University of the Fine Arts in West Berlin in 1958, where she became a master student under Max Kaus in 1963. From that time she has worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist and a member of the European Women’s Academy of Arts and Sciences in Berlin-Brandenburg since 2007.
