The 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art certainly meets this standard, providing outstanding rendering performance from the center of the frame all the way to the edges. But while this lens is optimized for macro applications, its 105mm focal length, f/2.8 maximum aperture and incredible sharpness makes this an excellent short tele portrait lens as well.
