Description: A superb sculptural Sigi Pineda pin from the 1950s, this brooch features a classic mid-century biomorphic form with 3 ball and chain dangles. The pin appears on a catalogue page in the Morrill-Berk book Mexican Silver on page 192. Measurements: approx 1-5/8” wide x 1-7/8” high from the top of the form to the tips of the ball dangles Signature: the back is stamped Sigi, Tasco, Sterling, Hecho en Mexico. It also carries the old Mexican eagle assay mark with the number 36 in the center, the design number 35 appears in bold. Very good condition with some rubbing to the dark oxidation inside the brooch. 8743
