"Dutch Boy" Ceramic Cookie Jar made in the 1940s. It measures 11 1/2 inches high and sits on a footed base measuring 5 inches in diameter, as seen the photographs, and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. The cookie jar represents a 19th century country dressed young Dutch boy. He is wearing blue diagonally striped pants and a blue scarf, and has brown colored buttons, hair and eyes. It is truly beautiful and was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island. Although it was pre-owned, I found it sitting on a shelf inside a closed living room cabinet, where it must have sat there for many years, because there are no scratches anywhere on it. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the items as best as I can. I don't see chips, fleabites, cracks, stains, scratches, or repairs anywhere. It comes from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling.
