Family lore suggests these wine goblets/ chalices were a gift from a gentleman caller to their mother in honor of "The Feast of St. Therese Lisieux". St. Therese Lisieux aka the Little Flower was her favorite Saint, and is also considered the most popular Saint of modern times. Her feast is celebrated every year on October 1st. We've been swooning over this truly thoughtful gift! The goblets are quite substantial yet delicately designed and are signed "Teresa Little" in reference to St. Therese Lisieux's teachings of "the little way" of love, self giving, and the concern for others. The chalices are handcrafted with none exactly identical to the other and of a variety of heights from 7"- 7.5", though they look fantastic together.
