Description: A fine limited edition set of three etchings of figures from a series titled “Homage to Picasso,” well known German artist Peter Max (b. 1937). Max was born in Berlin, Germany, spent his first ten years in Shanghai, China, eventually emigrating to New York in 1953, where he eventually became very well known for his commercial illustration, photo collages, and 60’s psychedelic style he developed, with his visual impact landing him on covers of albums and magazines. Etching on paper, inscribed in graphite lower left “V.2. V,VI,VII 37/99” and hand signed by the artist below on each in colored graphite “Max”, with linen matte with gilt accent, under glass in a molded giltwood frame. Very good condition, with minimal imperfections, circa 1990’s. Dimensions: Each Image: 9 3/4” H x 8 1/8” W, actual; 31 3/4” H x 24” W, framed.
