To me, they just sound sweeter than the Mark VIs, but they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. The late great John Coltrane played an SBA for some of his most influential recordings. This one is a terrific instrument. The nickel plate is 90-95% present and looks great. I've never heard of an original nickel SBA so I suspect this is not the original finish, but I don't see any signs of buffing so who knows? This horn has just been through the shop and is ready to play. You've always wanted to sound like 'Trane, so get an SBA and head to the practice room! It all starts here.
