Description: Captain Siegfried Koitschka (1917-2012)Served in the Battle of the Atlantic 1939-1935. USS "REUBEN JAMES." Most are unaware it was Koitschka who sank the "James." Erich Topp was in command of U-552 who gave the order to fire torpedoes at the James. Koitschka was the I.W.O aboard and it was his torpedo crew that fired on that dark stormy evening.Very attractive signed canceled 3" X 6" cancelled in 1938. I had Koitschka sign this for me years back.
