Biography Albin Stanislavovich Gavdzinsky 1923 - 2014Soviet Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, master of genre painting, portrait. People's Artist of Ukraine. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He showed himself most fully as a landscape painter. Born in the village. Bobrik First of Odessa region. In 1940 - 1950 he studied at the Odessa Art School (with Yu. Bershadsky, M. Mutselmakher, P. Parkhet, N. Pavlyuk). The artist's friendship with V. Sinitsky, G. Malyshev, K. Lomykin had a great influence on his work. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1976. For 20 years he was a member of the board of the Odessa branch of the Union of Artists. People's Artist of Ukraine since 2003. He began painting in the city Palace of Pioneers, at the same time took painting lessons at the House of Folk Art, where he taught Yu.R. Bershadsky. In 1940 - 50 he studied at the Odessa Art School, which he graduated with honors in 1950 (teacher N. A. Pavlyuk). In 1941-46 he was in the army (he graduated from the war as an instructor pilot at the Air Force flight school). From 1951 to 1960 he worked on the construction of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station. In 1961 he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of New Kakhovka. All painted canvases (in the amount of 237) the artist donated to the city, where they became the basis for the creation of the city art gallery. In 2003, the art gallery of Novaya Kakhovka was named after Albin Gavdzinsky. For 20 years he was a member of the board of the Odessa branch of the Union of Artists. Lived and worked in Odessa.
