Recent durability testing has found DLC to be significantly better than anything currently available. “The process is expensive, but the results are remarkable,” said PXG founder Bob Parsons. “The DLC finish is rock solid and absolutely beautiful.” MODEL NOTES The La Costa, the rarest of Scotty’s original seven Titleist models, is a heel-shafted mallet with a plumbing hosel and toe hang for a pronounced closing gate effect. Only 3000 were made before the model was removed from the line in late ‘95. An earlier version of this putter, the Scottsman 947, also had a limited run.
