Description: This stunningly beautiful fabric was documented by the Smithsonian and sold by Schumacher. It is a screen-printed fabric titled Cherry Tree Document. It is a very difficult to find fabric. I have seen it in printed several different colors. This 7 1/2 yard example is printed predominantly in shades of green with contrasting shades of rusty orange. The highly detailed pattern depicts pairs of birds under trees - presumably cherry trees, all tied together with twining flowers and foliage. The width overall is 54". The unprinted margins are each approximately 1 1/4" wide. The vertical repeat is approx. 15". The horizontal repeat is approx. 26". I will show the fabric photographed with a tape measure included in the picture to give you a better idea. The fabric is in one continuous length. There is one area where a partial cut was made from the margin extending slightly into the printed portion. I will photograph this area. The length of fabric is exactly 280”. That is approximately 23’4” , or close to 8 yards. The fabric is a tightly woven cotton of mid to heavy weight, perfect for a very special upholstery or drapery project!
