Description: This salvaged red oak lumber is perfect for any woodworking project. The planks are 2.375 inches wide and 11.875 inches long, and come in a 12-inch cube box full of oak. The wood type is oak, specifically red oak, which is known for its strength and durability. The lumber has been previously used, but is still in good condition. It has been salvaged and is ready for its next project. Use this wood for furniture, flooring, or any other creative ideas you may have. The possibilities are endless with this high-quality oak lumber. 80 percent of the box is pieces roughly 11.5 to 11.875 inches long the other 20 percent are shorter than 11 inches. Although they are .75" +/- thick, please take into account that once planed or sanded for a finish project they may only be .625" finished thickness. These were once pews that got left left outside and the glue on the edges failed. I cut them to fit in the box. 99 percent are free of any foreign metal such as nails, screws or staples. I believe they are red oak. SPLINTER DANGER, please handle with care. There may be sawdust in the box with the wood. I have included photos of the actual box you are bidding on as well as generic photos showing the variety. I have also included photos of two sample pieces that were lightly sanded and clear coated. I believe these are red oak but I am not a hardwoodaficionado.
