Description: St. Florian lived in the 3rd century and was a Roman soldier who was martyred for his faith in Christ. He was a great leader and fought fires as a leader of a firefighting brigade. Now he is a patron saint of firefighters across the world and also invoked as a protector against fires, floods, lightning and even the pains of purgatory. Our beautiful Holy Prayer Cards are based on real photos of the statue of Saint Florian and stained glass. Mainly we used the statue of Saint Florian from Töpperbrücke in Austria since Florian was born in the Austrian province of the Roman Empire. This is the most beautiful rendition of Saint Florian anywhere in the world. Our goal was to show him in a lifelike manner and we think we accomplished that through many hours of hard work. The result is stunning. These cards have been digitally designed and handcrafted in the United States. The statue of Saint Florian has been redesigned to offer a unique look in presenting him in a life-like pose. Pictured here, Saint Florian is extinguishing a fire with a pail of water. We use the same imagery in the stained glass version. These cards have been designed to honor Saint Florian and to glorify God through veneration of him. The back of the cards offers information on the feast day, birth, death and canonization as well as patronage. Devotional prayers to Saint Florian are also included.
