Sagittaria cuneata, also known as the arum leaf arrowhead, is hardy to zone 5 in the U.S. and can grow to about 18" tall. The plants that you get can be planted in water, leaves in air or submersed. It can be grown submerged in an aquarium where it will eventually develop aerial leaves, which can be very attractive and beneficial to aquarium health and balance. Cuneata make great marginal plants for the outdoor pond. They can even be grown as houseplants. Flowers, which are white and about 1-1/2" to 2" in diameter, bloomfrom June until the end of the season.
