But, it has been in an estate for many years, so it's been many years since it was last serviced and all pocket watches need regularly serviced to run at their optimal performance. That is likely true of this watch too. All wear is normal and expected for a 125 year old watch that was used and carried. No signs of abuse and no obvious issues. Pictures show condition well. The back cover opens and closes normally. The watch winds normally, and the hands set normally. Crystal has no meaningful scratches. Case has normal wear and light scratches, but no dings or dents. Dial has a couple of very light hairlines as expected, but no chips. This was someone's Christmas present! Enside back cover engraved "Dec. 25 -'19"
