Apparently, beach goers would take the train to Castlewood to enjoy busy weekends at the beach. I don't believe this island, sand bar even exists anymore. A rare and unusual postcard with tons of history. I believe this view looks southeast across the river. The other side of the beach should be what is today the Chubb trail and parts of the AB Wolf Sanctuary and Lone Elk Park.
