"Robot 5" is 7 1/2" inches tall and powered by a wind up spring motor which creates a sparkling action from his chest window while he walks forward via his efficient pizza cutter walking mechanism. Originally produced in 3 color versions in 1950's Japan. The known history of this Robot was that the Grey version was first produced in the 1950's, then Lavender, then only a very small run of the Grey. Robot 5 is a Limited Edition Robot Island Exclusive complete with original 1950's box graphics! Limited production of only 600 pieces number stamped. Each Robot is guaranteed to walk smoothly with strong sparking mechanism! Produced in same authentic manner as in the 1960s via heavy stamping machines and hand assembled - minor rubs or imperfections can occur.
