Description: Robert Fornell small plate. This piece shows the influence of Oribe style wares made by Mino area potters in central Japan. It is partly glazed in green which contrasts with the light colored section decorated with random angular spirals. The green glaze is puddled in the center which creates a deep blue color. The piece measures 5 7/8” X 5 3/4”. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The piece is in excellent shape.
