It does a great job, don't get me wrong, BUT at $99 - $109; you are getting a Rigid motor with hose, hose tips and bottom level filter.You'll find if using it in any living area, you'll want a hepa level filter ( $25). Then if you need longer vacuuming time you'll buy two 4Ah batteries if you don't have those ( $169)So if new to Rigid 18v cordless tools, this vaccum $109 $24 $169 = $302 before taxes or shipping. I would have given 5 stars, but cons and having to buy larger capacity batteries for those without make it an expensive proposition. After scrutinizing reviews, I bought the Ridgid. It is a powerhouse, and it reveals that the designers focus on what's important. It makes quick work of heavy dirt and debris, including sloppy mud. I found out how tough it was after I knocked it off my truck's engine compartment and onto the concrete garage floor. All it showed was a tiny scuff on the top's corner. The 7' stretch hose is much nicer than that of my corded shop vacs, and is a great feature for any vac in that price range.
