Description: Retro California Pottery Aborn G 1 Calif. Low-sided Rectangular Aqua-green Planter. Perfect for a bonsai arrangement, the aqua-green low-sided rectangle planter (9 1/4 x 5 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches) with a textured exterior edge. A textured scallop edge is textured with a deeper color. The interior depth is 1 1/4 inch. There are no cracks, stains nor crazing in the high-gloss glaze. There are several tiny chips in the texture decorative edge. Take a close look at the last photo in the series to see a small chip in textured center of the scallop. There is a very small chip in the textured scallop to the left and another small chip at the top edge of the scallop to the right. The irregularity of the glaze,interior surface and written trade mark on the bottom of the piece suggests that the planter was handmade. Note as well that the previous owner glued felt to the unglazed bottom edge to protect the surface where the bonsai planter was displayed for many years.
