It was manufactured by my great-great-grandfather Charles Tollner. It has a (Coats & Clark ) clasp (O.N.T. clasps such as that one were manufactured between 1894 and 1902). The Higgins family dined at Gage & Tollner's restaurant in Brooklyn where the owners met the Tollners. G & T was open from 1879 to 2004. The Tollner Box Factory in Pulaski NY (about 40 miles north of Syracuse NY) changed owners in 1902. It was in business from 1872 to 1902.
