The storage tin is included. Plates are 10" in diameter and look unused. The plate with the decorated mantle has a minor flaw on the white portion (near my finger in the photo) that is visible only when held at a tilt. Only one plate, the one with a horse-drawn sleigh, has a scratch on the underside. No dents or other issues with the plates. The storage tin has some scratches, and its base has minor denting (that did NOT affect the plates).
