Description: I set out 10 years ago to create a guitar with as high of quality as possible, and match as closely as possible to Slash’s Les Paul he used on Appetite for Destruction. I looked through multiple sites such as this one to collaborate on the best estimate of the components of his Appetite for Destruction guitar: http://iconicaxes.blogspot.com/2012/10/slashs-appetite-les-paul.html?m=1 I bought a used guitar in Okinawa Japan, in a Japanese guitar shop for $999. I then set out to replace all of the components with as close to replica as possible components. This includes pots, resisters, pick-ups, selector switch, and even the tension rod cover. (Pictures include a envelope for my music lessons to prove Japanese origin of guitar) I was in an Air Force Special Operations unit, and had a co-worker who does the installation of electronics on Special OPs C-130s and previously worked installing electronics for the Space Shuttle be the one to install and solder all components. Slash stated his guitar contained “Sprague Orange Drop capacitors (.022 +- 5% 600 DC). I purchased these at $50 each and had them installed. The wire continuity has been check and is perfect. Select wiring was wired with shielded wire to add extra protection against interference. See pictures. I installed the Seymore Duncan Zebra Slash Signature pickups. These were $230 new. To top it off, I went full cheese, and bought the little plastic symbol for his signature guitar and put it on as the cover to the tension rod. It comes with an Appetite for Destruction guitar strap. As well as the same type and thickness of the strings he prefers. It has been fully tuned with the neck tension rod and neck angle adjusted to perfection by Guitar Center. I will ship in a used guitar case (case has a dent in it, but I’ll include it free, see pictures). I will require insurance for the shipping and it will be added as the “handling” fee on the shipment. eBay limits the number of shipping methods I can offer, but I’m flexible to anything reasonable.
