Description: Reproduction Civil War wallet, leather, made in Alabama by T. Czekanski Leatherworks, Hand sewn. Based on the wallet illustrated in A Confederate Sketchbook dated 1864 and attributed to Joseph B. Webb. I have seen photos of a similar wallet in a private collection dated 1817. The wallet contains two pockets, one has a separate closure and one closes with the main wallet flap. Each pocket has a single divider inside. The wallet is approximately 11 by 6 1/2 when open and 6 1/2 by 3 3/4 when closed. with all the pockets and dividers it is about 1 inch thick when folded. I believe this wallet was originally intended to carry coins. Thanks for looking, Questions please ask.
