REMANUFACTURED YALE & TOWNE # 821 MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - CIRCA 1927 (20293)Vintage, featured in the 1927 Yale & Towne hardware catalog, very nice mortise lock complete set with a brass faceplate. Key works just fine, reconditioned, mortise lock is fully functioning and carries a YALE logo on the side panel. Hard to find Yale #821: Measurements as follows: FACEPLATE: Brass, plated, 5 1/2" long, 1" wide, 1/8" thick. BOX: Box is 3 1/2" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box and it is 3 3/4" top to bottom. SCREWS: Screw holes are on 4 5/8" centers. BACKSET: Set back from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 3/4". DROP: The drop, the distance from the center of the knob post hole down to the center of the round portion at the top of the key hole, is 2 1/4". KNOB POST: The lock accepts a standard 5/16" knob shaft or know post. KEY: Functioning key provided with the lock.REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible.
