Description: A modern reprint of a 1920 classic: the English translation of Einstein's attempt to explain his theory to a non-specialist audience with a few diagrams, a bit of algebra and a smidge of geometry. Confusingly, Methuen & Company, Ltd, publisher of the first English translation, called later printings of this work new editions, even when there had been no changes to the text except, possibly, for the publisher’s ads in the back matter. Other reprint publishers treated Methuen's designation inconsistently, compounding the confusion about its publication history.
