To measure the inside, use calipers or trim a dowel rod or rigid piece of cardboard until it fits between the front and back glass of the tank while parallel to the bottom. This makes our assembled parts exceptionally durable for lifelong, problem free operation. It also negates the need for you to purchase specialty acrylic cements, or worse yet use glue or silicone, to assemble the parts prior to installation.
