Description: This auction is for a Mid Century Modern (MSM) Italian ceramic bright orange ashtray designed by RAYMOR from the Mad Men era. This ashtray is finished in a smooth glossy bright orange color glaze. It is bottom-signed "RAYMOR" in black and impressed "ITALY" and Model No. "0482". It measures about 5” square and 2" high. The ashtray is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I bought this for my collection in 1971, and placed on my shelf for 53 years. The ashtray has an unusual ultra-modern sleek design, with 4 indentations at the top opening to hold cigarettes or cigars. I have taken a couple of photos of the bottom that shows the "RAYMOR" name. I also tried to show the embossed "ITALY" designation, but due to the glossy surface, it is hard to read, but if you look very closely you may be able to see it in the photo.
